These gloves are extremely good, no doubt about it.

But are they worth their almost triple digit price tag?
These are some quality contest boxing gloves from Lonsdale. You can feel how superbly constructed they are as soon as you put them on.
Unfortunately I cannot use them
as they only come in the size 8oz. However one of the smaller guys in the gym got a pair the other week and so this review is largely what he told me about them.
He has used them for about 10 rounds of sparring so far but already he could tell how decent they are. The best part is the snugness of the fit – not tight by any means – just snug around the shape of the hand.
As they fit the hand so well they offer some great hand protection and one of the comments made about these gloves was that it sort of forces you to make a fist and keep that fist, therefore protecting your hand.
Another great aspect of these gloves was that they “move well through the air”. What this means is that because of the way that they are crafted they offer a shape suited to boxing and so feel “lighter” than regular bag gloves even though they are not. This is because they do not slop around your hand, they are almost moulded to it’s shape, allowing the boxer more control and direction over his or her punches.
As mentioned before I can only find these gloves in 8oz and only in red. This is fine if red is you favourite colour and you take an 8oz glove!
However for a staggering £95 I would hope that the came in a wider variety of sizes and colours.
Boxing Daily Rating: 8.75/10 – Great gloves, but could so with coming in a wider range of sizes.
