Laila Ali, the daughter of the world famous and legendary Muhammad Ali, is set to become the first female boxer to headline a boxing event in South Africa.

She Met with Winnie Madikizela-Mandela, ex-wife of Nelson Mandela, and human right activist in Johannesburg and spoke to students at a school on Wednesday before her fight on February 3rd.
Ali is the IBF and WBC super-middleweigth world boxing champion and she will defend these titles against Gwendolyn O’Neil on Feb. 3 at Emperor’s Palace casino in Johannesburg.
Ali said of her boxing opponent: “I know Gwendolyn will be better prepared this time and a more formidable opponent, so I’m not taking anything for granted.”
Laila Ali certainly deserves this as she has a simply outstanding record of 22 fight, 22 wins and 19 knockouts. If think that we should see more women topping the boxing cards as some of them can box just as well as the male boxerw and some even better! I mean, Laila’s record is pretty hard to beat!
What do you think about Ali’s boxing match and what’s your opinion on women’s boxing in general?
