Young boxing star Amir Khan has said that is British lightweight rivals should “fight me now before it’s too late”.
Amir Khan has his 12 professional boxing bout on Saturday night against Steffy Bull in Cardiff and the fight will be shown on ITV.
“I can beat the likes of Graham Earl and Kevin Mitchell already. When I’ve had 20 fights they will not be able to touch me,” said Amir Khan.
“I will be such a level above them they won’t be able to fight me because the boxing world won’t let them.”
I can see Khan’s point. Amir Khan is rapidly becoming more and more of a boxing super star. With every fight he becomes stronger, faster and more skilful. If anyone wants to beat Khan then they had better do it as soon as possible, because all Amir Khan is doing is getting better and better at what he does.
Also once Amir Khan becomes a world champion, he will be fighting big fight for bigger money, and the boxing world may not permit him to come back a fight small time British boxers. So it really is now or ever.
Khan hit the headlines again in his last last in a 55 second demolition of Frenchman Mohammed Medjadji but he Bolton boxer is frustrated as some observers are reserving judgement on his talents until he has fought one his leading British rivals. Well I am not. Amir Khan is an amazing talent who will go on the be one of the greatest British boxers ever.
“Guys like Earl are the ones I want to be fighting now because I want to shut up a lot of people who think I am not good enough yet. I just know I can beat them already,” Amir Khan insisted.
“I will keep doing the business in the ring and I am more than willing to let other people plan my progress.
“But I am going to win a couple of titles before I step up for the really big ones - and by this time next year I want to be world champion.”
I am sure Amir Khan will be a world champion and I am looking forward to watching his fight on Saturday night.

If these guys are as talented as you say they are, then they will win world titles and then amir khan will fight them.
At the moment Amir Khan is the best young British prospect.
Frank Warren is bringing Amir Khan along steadily, without pushing him too far as he is still young. In a few years Amir Khan will be a world champion.

amir is a good prospect no doubt but not everyone gets chances like him and fair play hes won a silver medal but alot of brendans are held back in amatuers and this is true you cant say it isnt ive seen the talent in that gym forgetting the likes of thaxton or nadeem siddique they been fighting for a while now im talking about the likes of muhsen naseer who is a pro.. and ive seen young amatuers at that gym who are really good like lee duncan a young lad called barry dont know his real name and some other lad who was on star news sparing and training and i thought this guy is the real deal it says in the star papers hes turning pro in september but i cant find him on boxrec i dont think they have turned him pro yet but i seen him spar with ted bami and he was really making him look silly and knocked him down in sparring that was quite shocking as he hasnt turnd pro yet this is the link
