In a recent interview leading up to his fight with Steffy Bull, Amir Khan has said that he would fight for a world title next week.

Khan thinks that Steffy Bull will be hoping to cause a big upset (obviously!) when the pair meet on the undercard of the Calzaghe – Manfredo fight at Cardiff’s Millennium Stadium on 7 April.
Khan, 20, faces former Central Area champion Bull in his 12th pro fight.
“I know British fighters are more up for it than the rest but it just makes me train harder,” he said.
“I am learning all the time and I see this as another step up - Bull has fought a lot of good British fighters and will try to make life difficult.”
Young boxing prospect Amir Khan goes into this fight on the back of a 55 second annihilation of Frenchman Mohammed Medjadji in London in February.
“I am getting stronger and more experienced every time I get into the ring,” said Amir Khan.
“I have proved I can make the lightweight limit comfortably and I believe you are going to see yet another big improvement next month.”
We could see Amir Khan fighting for a world title this year but Bull has only lost once since 1999 and so will be Khan’s toughest test so far.
Khan has also said that if it were up to him, he would be fighting for a world title next week!
But he went on to say that he respected the experience and expertise of Frank Warren, who obviously knows what he is doing, having been responsible for some of the greatest boxers to ever come out of Britain such as Joe Calzaghe and Naseem Hamed.
While it is not very likely that Khan will be fighting for a world title next week, (however eager he may be) it is possible that we could see him fighting for one by the end of the year.
That would be great to see, but I definitely would not like to see Khan rushed into a world title fight before he is fully ready.

Amir kahn is a brilliant boxer .i am fed up of people constantly slagging amir khan down just because he lost to the chimp presscott people have constantly slagged him down ,so what if he lost . boxers in the likes of mohammad ali mike tyson and many many other boxers have lost .people are jelouse of his fame but ALLAH SUBHAN U THALLA IS WITH HIM INSHALLAH .Oisen fagan lost to him , and he made remarks about his glass chin and even said he would thrash him like a piece of glass ……..so who thrashed who it was Amir Khan who kicked the shit out of him and when fagan lost he blamed it on his broken ankle what more could he say ,,,,, Amir keep the good work up you are the best and inshallah you will win the world title one day allah hafiz
