As we have said many times before, Amir Khan is the best british boxing prospect at the moment and as British boxing fans we are pleased to see Khan moving closer to world class status.
In a WBO lightweight eliminator, unbeaten Amir Khan (17-0, 13 KOs) scored a seventh round stoppage of Martin Kristjansen (19-2-3, 5 KOs) on Saturday night at the Bolton Arena.
Again we saw Khan playing off his strengths of fast and also powerful punches. This is why Amir Khan should be being supported by the boxing community as a whole, not just British boxing fans.
Amir Khan has a great style of boxing, the fast paced exciting action we as fans love to watch. I can understand if non-British boxing fans aren’t amazing by the likes of Joe Calzaghe, but Amir Khan has a much better boxing style which we all want to see.
If Amir Khan can start winning world titles and get recognised on a global level, it will be great for us fans, and great for boxing as a sport.
