BBE Floor to Ceiling Ball

By Boxing Daily, Posted November 22nd, 2006

This is BBE’s new floor to ceiling ball for improving a boxer’s speed and reactions. The fast reacting professional leather 7″ ball weighs only 0.44lb and is perfect for developing necessary attributes that all boxers need that include speed, accuracy and precision.

BBE Floor to Ceiling Ball

It is secured to the ceiling and floor using high tension bungee cords and webbed fastener adjustment straps. The bungee straps and the lightness of the ball enable it to bounce back after you have punched it at speed and at a variety of angles.

The genuine leather shell means that it will last for a long time and the bladders that go inside the ball are easy and cheap to buy. Using a floor to ceiling ball is incredibly hard and takes a lot of practice to be able to do it properly, but with lots of practice it will help improve your boxing skills.

All professional boxers use these as it is a perfect way of training when not sparring or doing pad work, but they are also perfect for amateurs and people just wishing to work out. BBE are a high quality make and I am sure that this product will be no different to their others. This floor to ceiling ball actually comes at a reasonable price of £34 but other types of similar products to this can be found over the internet for a cheaper price.

Boxing-Daily Rating: 8.5 / 10 - Great for improving speed and accuracy.

  2. You attach the bands to the floor and ceiling so that the ball is roughly in the middle (roughly head height) then you hit the ball and the elasticity of the bands make the ball bounce back at different speeds and angles. THe objective is to then hit the ball - which should improve your reactions, speed and co-ordination.

  3. what are some combos usually used on the floor to ceiling ball?

  4. It works best with the straight punches, so jabs and stright rear hand shots are good as well 1-2’s.
I dont know how much uppercuts would work, but you can use hooks and hit the ball from side to side.
The easiest option is to jab it or use straight punches, so start with that.
As you get better you can use a wider vareity of combinations, it will just get harder to hit the ball. Still that is all part of boxing training!

  6. Its definitely a useful thing to have because it really helps hand eye coordination more than anything, but its a bit of hassle to set up! I mean attaching it to the ceiling is not difficult but then how are you supposed to attach to the floor? Drill through the floor?!

  7. Yes, put an anchor in the floor. unless like me the floor is damp-proof and drilling will spoil it. You may have to weight the bottom end down. You shouldn’t be stood right under it anyway
