In a recent interview, Joe Calzaghe has said that he is training hard, twice a day for his fight with Peter Manfredo in Cardiff.

You can listen to the interview here….
When speaking with Chris Evans of the BBC, Calzaghe said that he was going on a 5 mile run in the morning and then training in the gym on the afternoon in ensure that he is in peak condition for the fight.
He admitted: “When you have been boxing as long as I have, over 25 years, training can get a bit boring,” but he went on to say that he was feeling very good about the upcoming fight and sounded confident of victory.
I regard Calzaghe as one of the best boxers in Britain. WBO super middleweight champion Joe Calzaghe came in at the Boxing Daily number six in our most recent top pound for pound boxer list. He has dominated the super middleweight division for about a decade and is set to meet Peter Manfredo in Cardiff in April. I would like to see him fight Jermain Taylor or possibly Mikkel Kessler as these are fighters that I think are more in his class.
For this fight I will predict a sound win for Joe Calzaghe. He is simply in a different class to Manfredo, going into his 20th world title defence, whereas I regrad Manfredo as more of a celebrity boxer. Joe Calzaghe is world class and this will show for his fight with Peter Manfredo in April.
