Amir Khan is probably Britain’s best young boxing prospect, but does he have what it takes to become a world champion and can he become a boxing legend?

Check out this video of his pro boxing career so far.
There is not doubt that Khan looks good in his pro fights so far, but he has not fought anybody of any real class.
When he does do you think he will be able to beat them?
Can he prove himself and become a world boxing champion?
If so, does he have the potential to go down in history as a “great” boxing “legend”?
Please let us know what you think by posting your comments below.
Do you want to write what you think of Amir Khan, or another young boxing prospect?
Or do you want to on anything related to boxing?
If so you can get your work published here on Boxing Daily - click here for more information.

Amir is a wonderful talent, he is being guided to a world championship and not rushed to one. He has the potential to become the greatest pound for pound boxer the world has ever seen. Lets hope he keeps his feet on the ground, a level head and his mind on the game.

i think Amir Kahn can be the champion of the world and a boxing great but it will take him a long time though. he has a lot more to learn.
Comment by Brain Smith — November 28, 2006 @ 7:40 pm
He definately has a lot more to learn and he is definately not ready to fight for a title at the moment but I think he will definately be able to in the very near future - there is no doubt about it. He’s a very level headed kid and is in great hands. He shouldn’t worry too much about becoming the youngest champion becuase he may take the fight too quick and ruin his current success.
But give it a few years and I can almost guarantee that Amir will be one of the best boxers around.

he will become the champion of the world in about 3 years i reakon because he needs more tougher fightes and get some more experience
Comment by Brain Smith — November 30, 2006 @ 6:09 pm
I think he’ll be able to do it sooner than that - maybe between 1 and 2 years. He definately needs some tougher opposition but he’s getting there.

Amir has a great future ahead of him and is a great talen,im sure he will be a great fighter and hold a world chapionship. He has incredible hand speed and also power in his punches. As long as he keeps his feet on the ground and not get 2 bigheaded.I would like 2 c him fight some tougher opposition 2 see if he can take a punch off some of the better fighters

You are a good boxer. You punch is so good. I like your hard, punch. Your a light weight, champion. Every body likes you, even I like you, Amir Khan. Please do not loose in any, other fight, or get knock down. You should be strong, and not scared of any thing, Amir Khan. Ok this is Rajan. Please say I am a strong boy. I do pull up in the moorning, like you, do. And I sit up bench, then boxing. So I will keep on doing it, and never give up, like you.
