Floyd Mayweather and the Wrestlemania Shambles

Personally, I have never really understood why people watch things like Wrestlemania. You aren’t watching a fight, you aren’t watching a wrestling match, you aren’t even watching a sport.

You are watching nothing more than a drama show.

That’s right, to me Wrestlemania etc are no more a “sport” than CSI, Boston Legal or Lost. So if you like watching them then thats fine, I like Boston Legal, but don’t try and tell me that its a sport or Wrestlemania fan’s are “sports fans”.

Roy Jones Still Mr. Unstoppable: RRJ Defeats Trinidad

Well many people (including most of the team here!) thought that the fight between old timers Roy Jones and Felix Trinidad would be a lame fight with both boxers simply getting into the ring for a bit more cash.

However it was a fairly good fight, much better than we had expected, with Roy Jones Jr. (52-4, 38 KOs) winning a unanimous 12-round decision over Felix “Tito” Trinidad (42-3, 35 KOs) at New York’s Madison Square Gardens.

Ricky Hatton – Floyd Mayweather Jr: Rematch?

As as British boxing fans, The Boxing Daily Team was bitterly disappointed that Hatton did not manage to beat Mayweather but at the same time we are all extremely please that a Hatton got himself in a position to challenge the best pound for pound fighter in the world. It makes a change from Joe Calzaghe slapping bums around (read more…)
