After Palvik disposed of the Welshman on Saturday Night in Atlantic city, it seems that a fight between Calzaghe and Kelly Palvik is very likely. It seems Ricky Hatton will not be fighting Oscar De La Hoya. De La Hoya was going to fight Mayweather before his retirement announcement, the fight was set for the 20 September. Pound of pound boxing champion Floyd Mayweather Jr has announced that he is retiring from boxing.
Mayweather is stepping down undefeated, after winning all of his 39 fights, and therefore his last fight was against Rick Hatton when he retained his WBC welterweight title.

David Haye, the man that wants to be the first british heavyweight champion since Lennox Lewis, has turned down a fight with Matt Skelton, and said that he would “rather retire from boxing”, than work with Frank Warren again.
