Nicky Cook has been added to the already star studded cast featuring in the Joe Calzaghe-Peter Manfredo show at the Millennium Stadium on April 7.

Cook, who was the WBO featherweight challenger left “standing at the altar” when Scott Harrison pulled out of their planned fight in December, will be boxing against a foreign boxer in a 10 round bout.

Nicky Cook, from Dagenham, is still unbeaten in his professional career and is the former British, Commonwealth and European ruler.

His promoter, Frank Warren, has promised Cook that he will get a chance at fighting for a world title this year, but it the meantime he has to be kept busy and so this is what this fight is about.

As he joins this is now a sixteen bout boxing card which includes a total of six championship fights and an bout involving the Olympic hero, Amir Khan.

What do you think of Nicky Cook’s next fight and his future in boxing?

Can he get his hands on a world title, if so when?
