cotto wins again to defend boxing title

Miguel Cotton beat Oktay Urkal on Saturday to defend his WBA Welterweight title.

Urkal retired in the 11th round of their boxing match in San Juan.

Cotto was winning on all the judges scorecards when Urkal’s corner threw the towel in after he got a point taken off for head-butting.

This win means that Cotton improves his still unbeaten record to 29-0.

This was Cotto’s first defence of his WBA title after he won it from fellow Puerto Rican, Carlos Quintana in December.

What did you think of the fight?

What is the next step for Cotton in boxing? Who should he fight next?
