If you are an amateur boxer, then competition boxing gloves are essential for use in bouts.

You don’t really have a choice here, every boxer must use this competition standard equipment if they are to compete in official amateur boxing fights.
Usually, your boxing club will supply the competition boxing gloves, but if you are a dedicated serious boxer, you may want to pick up a pair of your own so you can get used to boxing with them,
Everlast is a quality boxing brand and these Everlast AIBA boxing gloves would be a good choice for boxers wanting their own pair of competition gloves.
Firstly, I find competition boxing gloves way more comfortable to box in than regular bag mitts or sparring gloves. They sort of “hug your hand” and this tight fit makes them feel lighter, enabling faster punches, and also they feel more solid, which increases the accuracy of each punch.
However they aren’t as hard wearing so use these gloves sparingly. They are approved official AIBA boxing competition gloves and have the official national amateur competition hook-and-loop closure. The Everlast AIBA boxing gloves have a white coloured knuckle to make scoring easier and you can get them in red or blue from Sugar Ray’s for £55.
I think these Everlast boxing gloves are a good buy for either boxer who want to get used to using competition gloves, or boxing clubs that need competition boxing gloves for their boxers in amateur bouts.
