Photography manages to capture a variety of great moments in boxing but what is the best picture ever taken?
In my opinion the best one ever is the one shown above and I have the poster of it on my wall.
It shows Ali screaming at Liston to get up, after Liston obviously has taken a dive in the first minute, first round of their world famous boxing match.
The picture captures a lot of things about the sport of boxing as well.
You have Muhammad Ali, arguably the greatest boxer ever and Sony Liston one of the best fighters ever to enter the boxing ring, both in the same picture.
The boxing photo captures the great attitude of Ali as he is telling Liston to GET UP knowing that he has taken a dive which shows Ali’s determination and confidence that he can beat Liston.
However this also shows us the darker side of boxing, as Liston probably took that dive because of his (possible) involvement with organised crime.
But there are so many great boxing pictures, this is just one.

The best picture of Ali, ever. You can see each and every muscle pushing against the resistance of the water. This picture was staged by Ali, and demonstrates that he was the best at self promotion.
