WBA world heavyweight champion; Nikolay Valuev, is set to journey to Switzerland on the 20th of January to protect his crown against the American Jameel McCline.
The huge 33-year-old Russian, who is yet to be defeated, is the favourite against McCline, who has lost six bouts out of his 47 professional contests. And at a massive 7ft tall and whopping 147kg in weight Valuev is the tallest and heaviest champion in all of boxing history.
He is undefeated in 45 bouts and won the WBA title with a divisive point’s victory over the American John Ruiz in December last year. By beating McCline the Great Russian would take a step closer to harmonizing the late Rocky Marciano’s 49-0 undefeated professional record; but it is wondered whether Valuexwould be able to retire undefeated as well?!
Is it too easy for a man with such an obvious talent? Please leave your own thoughts and comments on Valuev’s up and coming bout at the bottom o f the page.

I have never seen him fight but would imagine that his size would make him less mobile, if he is a good boxer and not just a big lump then his size advantage will help him against other good boxers, but could he beat the great boxers? I don’t know, and as there are no greats in the heavyweight division at the moment I guess we will never find out.

It is mmainly his huge height and weight that make he able to be his opponents. He is quite skilled but definately not as good as some of the previous heavyweight giants such as Lewis, Tyson, Ali, Louis etc.
