Another great boxing match up is being brought to you by Showtime on Saturday March 3rd.

In a fight that has been looked forward to by many, Israel Vazquez, the WBC super bantamweight champion will defend his title against the IBF bantamweight champion Rafael Marquez.
This boxing match up will be the main event of the boxing show put on by Showtime at 9pm ET on March 3rd.
This boxing fight between Vazquez and Marquez is highly anticipated as many people have both of these boxers on their top pound for pound boxer lists. Both of these boxers are from Mexico City and ever since they both burst on to the world boxing stage they have been impressing their fans by grabbing world titles left right and centre. Therefore it only seems natural that they should be matched up.
Many boxing fans view this as the best junior featherweight against the best bantamweight boxer in the world.

I think this fight will be a thriller to watch as not only are both boxers very good, but they both have very offensive boxing styles which should make and even more exciting fight. Also one must bear in mind that anything could happen as both of these boxers have been known to get up from the canvas and go on to win a fight.
Marquez is the older boxer at age 31, with 15 straight wins under his belt as well as an impressive 12 knockouts. He is quite tougher and he is also deadly with his counter punches. He has been waiting a long time to move up a weight as he has defended his IBF 118 pound title eight times.
Vazquez on the other hand is 29 with an outstanding record of 41-3 with 31 KO’s. He will make a 3rd defence of his WBC crown that he captured from Oscar Larios in a third round KO in December. Vazquez is a two time world champion and is going into this fight after he has won 9 bouts straight, winning 7 inside the distance. He is generally regarded as one of the world top boxing fighters and holds the IBO bantamweight title.
So which one of these boxing lions do you think will overcome the other?
Whoever wins this is sure to be a great fight and one many boxing fans have been looking forward to for ages. I can’t wait!
