Joe Calzaghe Wants To Beat Ali Record

After his win against Bernard Hopkins, Joe Calzaghe is looking to fight Roy Jones in Cardiff and attempt to beat the record set by Ali, for the biggest indoor crowd for a boxing bout.

Joe Calzaghe thinks that more than 70,000 welsh boxing fans would flock to the stadium to see the super fight and this would top Ali’s record, which was 63,500 for the Leon Spinks fight in New Orleans

“Roy Jones is a big name and at the forefront of our plans. I’d really like to fight at the Millennium Stadium because I think 70,000-plus could be there,”
said Calzaghe

Do you think Joe Calzaghe should fight Roy Jones?

Could the crowd beat the record turnout for boxing legend Muhammad Ali?
