Olympic silver medallist Amir Khan has emerged in court to plead innocent to a charge of dangerous driving in his home town of Bolton.

Khan Denies Driving Dangerously

19 year old Khan of Lostock in Bolton appeared before Bolton Magistrates’ Court where he denied charges which relate to an incident in Bradshawgate on the 2nd of March, when a man broke his leg after being hit by a car. The case was committed for trial at Bolton Crown Court at the trial on Thursday.

The young star has won all of his nine fights since his turn to professional boxing last year. The teenager, who has incredible speed, power and footwork, quickly rose to fame after becoming a silver medalist in the 2004 Olympics.

I don’t know a lot about this case, but I find it hard to believe that someone like Amir could do such a terrible thing. Hopefully he’ll be back in the ring before we know it, with any luck as champion of the world.
