Being tipped for future greatness by boxing idol Sugar Ray Leonard has given Amir Khan a huge lift ahead of his next fight on 17 February.
Amir Khan was called “a huge prospect” and Sugar Ray Leonard described him as having “all the makings, he’s the full package.”
Amir Khan is set to box Mohammed Medjadji at Wembley Arena on the 17th of February.
“Sugar is one of my boxing heroes and hearing him say that is a huge boost to my confidence.” Khan said in an interview. “For him to say I am a special boxer and can be a champion is fantastic.”
“My preparations for my next fight are going really well. It’s just about making the weight and I’m just itching to get into the ring again.
“It’s the first time I’ve fought at Wembley and I’m really looking forward to it.
“Every fighter who comes against me wants to win and make a name for themselves now so it should be a good fight”
Well I think every boxing fan in the UK is hoping to see another good display of boxing skill from Amir Khan on February 17th, and I certainly share Sugar Ray Leonard’s view that Khan will be a boxing champion one day.
