British boxer, Brian Magee is expected to challenge for the British light-heavyweight boxing title before this summer.

He is on course for a shot at the crown after he convincing beat Andrew Lowe on Friday night in their title eliminator boxing bout.
Magee, from Belfast must face the winner of Tony Oakey and Peter Oboh , the British and Commonwealth champion.
After he outclassed Lowe, Magee said: “I don’t care who I have to fight. Whether it’s Oakey or Oboh bring them on because I’m ready!”
Magee’s trainer, Harry Hawkins is really looking forward to the upcoming clash between Magee and either Oakey or Oboh.
Hawkins said: “Oboh hasn’t fought in ages, it’s almost two years and if he doesn’t defend his title soon then we’ll be asking the British Boxing Board to look at the situation. If he can’t get it on with Oakey soon then I don’t see why Brian can’t fight for the vacant title.”
In the same boxing event on Friday, Scott Belshow made it four consecutive KO’s in his record and he expected to fight again in March.
Meanwhile, Belfast men Ryan Lindberg and Paddy Barnes will be shooting for bantamweight and light-fly glory at the Irish seniors on Friday night.
