Bookmarkers Blue Square still have Floyd Mayweather down as the favourite to beat Oscar De La Hoya in May.
Floyd Mayweather is 4/9 to win whilst De La Hoya is 7/4 and the draw is 16/1. However if you take a look at the round betting for the fight, De La Hoya is favoured to win the fight early, at 50/1 instead of 66/1 for Mayweather.
However, what does this tell us? Although bookmakers know little about boxing, they so adjust the odds according to how much money has been placed on each bet. Therefore it tells us that some money has been going on De La Hoya to win the fight inside the first 4 rounds, but the vast majority of betting is going on Floyd Mayweather.

On the domestic boxing front, things are looking pretty even for the Carl Johanneson and Ricky Burns fight with Carl at 4/5, the draw at 20/1 and Ricky Burns at even money.
Going back to the world stage, Shane Mosley seems to be the out and out favourite at 1/5 to beat Luis Collazo who is at 10/3 whilst the draw is at 25/1.

Perhaps.
But De La Hoya is not what he used to be when he was younger. He is older now but Mr. Floyd Mayweather is still at his prime.
Floyd is also undefeated and so thats why the majority of the money is going on him to beat Oscar.
De La Hoya is 7/4 at the moment Kigz…why not put your money on him?
If you put down say £40 on De La Hoya to win, then you would £70 back plus your stake of £40 so you would get back £110!
Not bad eh…how confident do you feel…?

They are both a pair of pussies, bring back the good old days of Henry Hank and Rocky Rivera, proper fighters!

True, proper fighters, not great boxers.
Neither of them could match Mayweather or De La Hoya for speed, algility or pure boxing skill!
