Boxing Champion Ricky Hatton is a true British boxing hero as he knocked out Jose Luis Castillo in the fourth round of their much anticipated clash in fabulous Las Vegas.

The fight began with a bang as Castillo was sent to the canvas, although this time it was only a stumble or slip. There was plenty of holding and hugging in the
first half of the first round until Ricky Hatton let loose a couple of clean uppercuts and a decent body shot. However although Castillo came back with a good straight right
hand punch I would say the first round belonged to Hatton.
In the second round Castillo lands a few good left hand leads but, The Hitman comes back
with a few left hooks to the body and seems to be working harder that Castillo up close. I would have said that Castillo seemed to be pacing himself and Hatton is going at
a fast pace, but that workrate might just be unsustainable. This is another round for Hatton in my book though.

Its round three and Castillo is the one landing all the better shots most notable a right uppercut and a left hook to the body. Hatton didn’t look too happy with some of Castillo’s shots low down on the body but finishes
the round with a crisp left hook. I would say that this round was Castillo’s as Hatton seems to be getting too close and in doing so he is jepordizing a number of his own
punches and a lot of his boxing skill.
In the fourth its up close and personal but Castillo sees a point deducted for another low blow on the Hitman.
And then it comes…A massive left hook from Ricky Hatton rams into Castillo’s ribs! The Mexican warrior falls to the floor and is counted out. Hatton has clearly won by a
great KO from a superb punch and seems to have beaten Castillo at his own game. It really was a lethal punch, similar to that which sent one of Ricky’s sparring partners
home with broken ribs not so long ago, perhaps Castillo’s will suffer the same fate…

To conclude this was a great fight, especially for Hatton. He has proved without a doubt
that he is one of the top pound for pound fighters in the world today and one of the best British boxers of all time. Hatton is definitely the best boxer in Britain at the moment
(don’t even think the word Calzaghe, there’s no comparison) and in the top ranks of the
world.
All that is left for me to say is….BRING ON MAYWEATHER!
Hatton summed it up: “There was more action in those four rounds than you’d have had in Floyd Mayweather’s last half dozen fights.”…enoughy said…we
need Hatton vs. Mayweather ASAP
