Is it just me or is this fight happening years after it should have happened?
Both of these boxers are way past their prime but Roy Jones and Felix Trinidad are set to go head to head in Las Vegas in just a couple of days.
To be honest, either Roy Jones and Felix Trinidad are half decent liars or neither of them actually know how far past their prime they are.
Take Roy Jones Jr for example, although I will be the first to admit that he was a terrific boxer in his prime, a pound-for-pound king and four-division champion, those days are gone. Years gone.
And yet Roy Jones still refers to himself in the third person, is very confident that Felix Trinidad will “He must go in fo’,” and believes that he is on top of his game. Felix Trinidad is no better, claiming he will take Roy Jones down in just two rounds.
Now there is the possibility, a very strong possibility, that all this is just media and promotional hype. Don King is working very hard on promoting these fight, but in my opinion the ticket prices are way over priced and I think this fight is going to be far from a box office sell-out.
But there is the flipside to the coin, that both these boxers genuinely believe that they are still on top, still in the prime and still have the creditability to back up these massive egos.
So what do you think?
Has all the success gone to these guys heads, or is this all just promotional hype and BS?

(Oh yeah, please feel free to pick a winner out of these two as well - personally I don’t really care that much)
