Still No Boxing License For Scott Harrison

Today the Boxing Board of Control rejected Scott Harrison’s appeal to regain his boxing license. The board choose to continue his suspension until the end of this year.

Harrison lost his license after failing to fight Nicky Cook and he was therefore stripped of his WBO title (read more…)

Amir Khan, from Bolton, was meant to be facing the Frenchman Rachid Drilzane in an 8 round contest on Saturday night but has now been pushed into last-minute title bout.

Khan to Fight Frenchman Drilzane

Britain’s Amir Khan is set to take on Frenchman Rachid Drilzane at London’s ExCel Arena on the 9th of December; a day before Kahn’s birthday. 19-year-old Khan said: “I have had a good look at Drilzane. He is not a bad fighter but I won’t let him ruin my birthday. This year has been pretty special, and it would be great to finish the way I started - with a first-round knockout.”

Khan will be appearing in his 10th professional bout against the 28-year-old Drilzane, who has won 10 fights out of his 13.Bolton boy Kahn, stopped Londoner Ryan Barrett in just 111 seconds of his bout prior to this which was back in September. Harrison Still Doubtful

Scott Harrison’s promoter, Frank Warren, has said that Harrison’s fight with Nicky Cook will only happen if the WBO featherweight champion is released from jail on Monday.

Harrison Still Doubtful

Harrison, who is 29 years old, has been in a Spanish jail since the 6th October over accusations of assault. But if Harrison does not fight on the 9th of December he may lose his WBO title.
