In his first defence of the WBO and WBC world middleweight titles, Kelly Pavlik demolished underdog Gary Lockett in under three rounds in Atlantic City, NJ, USA.

This Saturday the World Middleweight Champion Kelly Pavlik is defending his title against Gary Lockett, but the up and coming boxer is already looking past this fight to bigger things.

Anthony Mundine has admitted that he needs to win high profile fights to make a name for himself in the boxing world.
Mundine defended his WBA super middleweight title successfully against Sam Soliman at Vodafone Arena on Wednesday night. Mundine won via a unanimous points decision as the judges scored the bout: 116-112, 116-112, 117-112.

It looks as though we are probably going to see Roy Jones Jr as the next opponent for undefeated world super middleweight champion, Joe Calzaghe.
Whilst Roy Jones is no where near as good as he was at his prime, he still put in an impressive display against Felix Trinidad and so could provide a challenge for Joe Calzaghe.

With no real challenges left for Kelly Pavlik at the middleweight level, it was obvious he was going to have to move up to super middleweight in order to get a decent fight.
Kelly Pavlik is set to fight Lockett but after that where should he go?

Bernard “The Execution” Hopkins defeated Winky Wright in their top of the bill boxing showdown in fabulous Las Vegas.
Two judges scored the fight 117-111 to Hopkins and the other gave the bout a 116-112 score.
