Top Rank and Versus have got together and announced yesterday that the IBF light flyweight title will be up for grabs in a boxing showdown between Will Grigsby (18-3-1, 7 KOs) of St. Paul, MN and Mexico’s Ulises Solis (22-1-2, 16 KOs).
The fight will be broadcast tonight on Fight Night in the second telecast of 2007 from the New Orleans Area in Las Vegas.
It all begins at 9.pm ET and the 12 round boxing match is expected to be a thrilling one as both boxers have been down this road before. It was just over a year a go that Solis won the title from Grigsby in a 12-round unanimous decision at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
If you are a Fight Night viewer then you will obviously be able to score the fight on the Versus website and see you votes appear on the TV.
Also on this boxing card will big a battle between two upcoming heavyweight boxers Tye “Big Sky” Fields (36-1, 33 Kos) and Kendrick Releford (14-8-1, 5 Kos). Fields bring an impressive record with him into the fight with a winning streak of 21 victories and 16 of them were by knockout. But he may have a tough job getting the better of “Big Sky” who is 260lbs and 6′8”.
So what do you make of this boxing card tonight?
Any thoughts on who will win either of these bouts or any of the other fights of the night?
