Ossie Duran, the former commonwealth light middleweight boxing champion, is set to take on the No. 1 star of The Contender, Jonathan “Reid Dawg” Reid in the eight round co-feature on the February 9th “Hearts Of Fire” pro-am show at the Rhode Island Convention Centre in Providence.

Reid of Nashville (34-4, 19 KOs), saw his popularity rocket to the moon after being a star of The Contender Season One. He is a former world boxing title challenger and the ex-NABA middleweight champion.
Also featured on this “Hearts of Fire” boxing card, is the IFBA lightweight title holder St. John (43-7-2, 18 KOs), who is a former pin-up model for Playboy, faces Clampitt (16-4-1, 7 KOs) for the vacant IWBF title. This long anticipated showdown features the d No. 3 and No. 4 rated lightweights, respectively, in the WBC and WBA.
Those are the only fights that are really worth mentioning, and those of you who were fans of The Contender, may like to opportunity to see Reid in action again.
