Title Gel Hook and Loop World Training Gloves

By Boxing Daily, Posted October 23rd, 2006

Title has just released their brand new and elite world training gloves. They have an innovative gel enforced lining and extraordinary multi-layered foam filling which make these the one of the most comfy and most protective pair of training gloves that is available on the market.

Title Gel Hook and Loop World Training Gloves

The gel lining brings a supreme layer of ‘custom fit’ and ‘impact resistance’. The all-leather exterior has a remarkable hand section lining for fresh, arid and secure wear at all times. When I wore these gloves in training I used them mainly for sparring as they are of such a high quality it would be a waste to wear them for things such as bag work; you can purchase a similar style to these in bag gloves. These gloves are completely brilliant and have a unique yet classy and simple design that is available in a black and white or red and white colour scheme. They come in sizes: 12oz, 14oz and 16oz, and for a price of under £40 they are a first-class buy. I would recommend buying these over the lace up as these are easier to put on and take off and still provide the same amount of comfort.

Boxing-Daily Rating: 9.5 / 10 - These gloves are the best around but won’t cost you the world.

  1. if i wanted to use these gloves for bag work in addition to sparring. Do you think these gloves are just as good or better than the gel bag gloves.

and which glove do u think would be better for bag work, the gel bag gloves or the gel training gloves. (because ive used training gloves that were better than bag gloves.)

  2. These gloves are a better buy than the gel bag gloves - but it depends what you are using them for.

The bag gloves are more suited for bag work as they are tougher and more hardwearing.

These gloves are quite high quality but are more designed for sparring.

If you use these gloves for bag work they would be good but they may not last that long as they are not built for bag work.

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any more questions if you want buz…

  3. thanks,
    a few more questions
is the leather MUCH softer on the training gloves than on the bag gloves, and which glove has a better wriststrap (more snug and secure).

  4. Well the wrist wraps on both of the gloves are very good and you can make them as snug as you want.
One of the key things is making sure you buy the right weight of gloves, if you buy the right weight, then the gloves will fit fine.

The gloves wont be MUCH softer than the bag gloves - but you can notice the difference. If you use the bag gloves for sparring then they will feel heavier than other sparring gloves as they are designed to endure heavy bag work.
Also if you use the sparring gloves on the bag, you may notice that they get worn fairly quickly as they are not designed for the heavy duty bag work.

It all really depends on what you want to use the gloves for.
If you want to use them mainly for bag work, then buy the bag gloves. If you want them more for sparring, then buy the other ones.

However if you want to use them for both or if you are new to boxing then I would say get the bag gloves. These will be more hard wearing and you can use them for sparring - it will just make you work harder! (which is better for fitness anyway)

Also usually in competitions or bouts you have special competition gloves.

  5. where can i get these gloves in the uk? titleboxing.com sells them but id rather try them on in a shop first, or not pay the import tax

  6. I dont know of anywhere that sells them in the UK.
You would have the get them from the USA, but I would keep an eye on both ebay UK and US as occasionally a pair of these gloves has popped up on there.
Sorry I couldn’t be more help but if you have any more questions, please dont hesitate to post them as comment here on on the newly launched Boxing Daily forum.
