The man who once knocked out Mike Tyson; Danny Williams, is set to fight a surprise rematch against Audley Harrison to replace the injured Matt Skelton. Skelton had to pull out of his Commonwealth heavyweight title defence, which is to take place on the 9th of December in London, due to the fracturing of his right hand in training.
So his replacement Williams has come back to step into the ring with Harrison nearly one year on from their first bout which he won with a split decision. Williams; who has not fought since his Commonwealth loss to Skelton back in July, said: “Now I can really end the career of Audley Harrison once and for all. Harrison’s got no excuses at all when I smash him up this time and I’ve only had one week’s notice for the fight. I’ve been training hard since my loss to Skelton and kept out of the media spotlight to work on my overall fitness and technique. I don’t know why, but I had a strange feeling that a big fight was coming up and that I should increase my training and out of the blue this opportunity came up.”
Williams had been temporarily programmed to face British champion Scott Gammer in Wales some time next year. But I honestly feel that the heavyweight division has gone down the drain if its best boxers include Williams and Skelton. There is no real class in there and I predict that the bout will be dull and long winded. And why is Harrison even still fighting; he should have hung up his gloves a long time ago.
Please leave your thoughts on this scheduled Williams and Harrison bout at the bottom of the page.

I was looking forward to seeing Harrison against Skelton, if Audley was to fight the same fight as he did with Williams a year ago, Skelton has it in him to really punish Audley and make him qiut the ring for good. Williams will win again but not in such a way as to force Harrison into retirement.
Bruno could still beat them all now.
What a farce.

I think that Harrison should have retired ages ago any way. Once he’d won the Olympic Gold everyone thought he was going to be a quality pro boxer but he has only disappointed us time and time again. So I think that he should hang up his gloves now!!!
